Jan Gillanders, CENMP
Jan has a history of long and loving relationships with horses. For the better part of her life, she has lived with, cared for and enjoyed riding them. Currently she owns 5 horses, having recently sold one of the two horse that she raised, helped start, and trained from the ground up.
She has an extensive working knowledge of Natural Horsemanship, having studied with Tom Dorrance, Ray Hunt, Frank Bell and others to further her understanding of horse communication, behavior and movement. Jan also studied TTouch for Horses and Humans. Through this she discovered her great gift for listening to and understanding a horse’s well being. Her calm and patient way with horses easily gains their trust and elicits willing participation from them. Jan is sensitive to the needs and concerns of horses and they know it.
Jan is certified in Equine Natural Movement Series through Joseph Freeman, a Structural Integration Practioner and the developer of the ENMS. She brings all her knowledge and experience, deep love and appreciation of horses into her ENM bodywork practice. Her touch is gentle and sure.
